Privacy Policy

How Reverse Video Search handles your video, extracted frames, search requests and technical data.

Last updated: 2026-09-18

What this policy covers

Reverse Video Search lets you upload a video from your device to find webpages containing matching frames. You can use the tool without an account. This policy explains what is processed, what is sent where, and what is not stored.

Your video

Your full video stays in your browser. It is opened locally to extract a small number of frames and is never uploaded to our servers or any third party.

Extracted frames

Only a small number of extracted frames (small, compressed JPEG images) are sent to our server for the search you requested. The frames are forwarded to our web-matching provider (Google Cloud Vision) to find pages with matching imagery. Neither the video nor the frames are persisted: nothing is written to cloud storage, and frame data is discarded when the request completes. The web-matching provider applies its own processing terms as a data processor.

Anti-abuse verification

To protect against automated abuse of the paid search API, requests pass a Cloudflare Turnstile check. This exchanges a browser token, and possibly your IP address, with Cloudflare for verification. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Technical information and analytics

We process limited request information needed to operate and protect the service, such as timestamps, coarse request metadata and rate-limiting signals. If analytics are enabled, we record aggregate events — page views, search started or completed, result counts and coarse size/duration buckets. File names and video content are never logged. We do not sell personal information.

Optional accounts

Creating an account is optional and not required for searching. If you create one, we store your email address and authentication data as described by the platform's account features.

Your choices

You can use the tool without an account. You can clear browser storage at any time. To exercise data requests, use the contact information on the Contact page.
